What is a 404 Error?

Simple bhaasha mein:

404 error ka matlab hai ki user jis page ko access karna chahta hai, wo Blogger server par available hi nahi hai.

Yeh error tab aata hai jab:

  • Page delete ho gaya ho
  • URL galat ho
  • Post draft mein ho
  • Internal link me problem ho

Common Causes of 404 Error in Blogger

  1. Incorrect URL Format
    Example:
    ❌ https://www.smartdealshub.in//https://smartdealshub.in/
    ✅ https://www.smartdealshub.in/

  2. Post is Not Published
    Agar post publish nahi hua hai ya draft me hai, toh uska URL open nahi hoga.

  3. Custom Permalink Issue
    Agar aapne manually permalink set kiya hai, toh exact wahi URL use karein.

  4. Deleted or Renamed Pages/Posts
    Agar aapne koi post delete ya rename kiya, aur purana link kahin pada hai — toh 404 aayega.

  5. Wrong Internal Linking
    Galat URL copy-paste ya spacing problem bhi 404 laa sakta hai.

How to Fix 404 Error (Step-by-Step)

✅ Step 1: Check URL Carefully

Double slash (//) ya domain duplication avoid karein.

Example of Wrong Link:
https://www.smartdealshub.in//https://smartdealshub.in/

Correct:
https://www.smartdealshub.in/2025/04/how-to-start-business-as-student-guide.html

✅ Step 2: Ensure Post is Published

  • Go to Blogger Dashboard
  • Click on Posts
  • Find the post – make sure it’s not in “Draft”
  • Click Publish if it’s not published

✅ Step 3: Check the Permalink

  • While editing post > Right Sidebar > Permalink
  • If custom permalink is used, match the exact URL in your browser

✅ Step 4: Use Proper Internal Linking

Jab aap apne post me kisi aur post ka link de rahe ho:

  • Blogger ka “Insert Link” tool use karo
  • URL ko paste karne ke baad, ek baar click karke check zaroor karo

  4. Redirects ka use karo — especially agar aapne old blog structure badla hai

My Personal Experience

Jab mujhe 404 error aaya toh maine apne hi blog ka link aise likha tha:

https://www.smartdealshub.in//https://smartdealshub.in/

Result? Full 404 page, heart attack feel aayi!

Par maine turant error samjha, sahi URL likha and boom — website wapas normal!
